Voter Education Forum

October 25 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm PDT

Please join the Century City Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., in partnership with When We All Vote on Sunday, October 25 from 3PM to 4:30PM PDT as we host a voter education forum to discuss important issues that our vote impacts. During the forum guest speakers will address key issues including voter suppression and how to overcome it, the future of the SCOTUS, the electoral college and its importance. The forum will also provide voting resources that you can use as you create your voting plan. We look forward to hosting this engaging conversation and look forward to you (and your family/friends!) joining us as we push to have our voices heard and our vote counted. RSVP here!



Shianne Winston is a Los Angeles native, fierce community advocate, and millennial civic engager who is on a mission to bridge social policies and nonprofit services. Shianne received her Masters of Arts in Nonprofit Management from Antioch University Los Angeles in 2020 and her Bachelor’s of Arts in Political Science and Sociology from Grambling State University in 2011, she is also a 2018 Alumnae of the Los Angeles African American Women in Public Policy Institute.

In 2014 Shianne founded The New Black Era, a millennial -led social change organization that focuses on building communities, influencing policy and encouraging social responsibility. She currently serves as  the Senior Manager of Communications and Development at Innovate Public Schools, where she spearheads all traditional and digital communications, media and fundraising for the Los Angeles region. In 2020 she became the founding partner of Pretty Political, a public affairs consulting firm. Shianne is the oldest of seven girls and a lifelong member of Faithful Central Bible Church in Inglewood, California. 


Tiffany M. Williams is a former New Jersey Administrative Law Judge and is presently the Associate Director of Advocacy, Empowerment, and Faith at Pepperdine Caruso School of Law. She teaches upper level courses and leads initiatives focused on spiritual development, professional advocacy and women’s empowerment.  Judge Williams is a frequent international lecturer and trainer on legal writing and drafting, trial advocacy and judicial judgment drafting trainings.

Prior to her judicial service, Judge Williams served as a senior leaders in government , including as Deputy Chief Counsel to the NJ Governor, Chief Counsel to the Speaker of the NJ General Assembly, NJ Deputy Assistant Secretary of State (overseeing the state’s election system), and as agency counsel at the NJ Civil Service Commission. She is also a former federal prosecutor and worked at large law firms in Boston and NJ. Judge Williams interned at the White House for the Office of Legal Counsel and served as Deputy NJ State Counsel for the 2008 Obama for America campaign.

In addition to her legal career, Judge Williams is a pastor and Founder & CEO of the Esther Project, a non-profit women’s empowerment movement encouraging women to discover their life purpose and become intentional leaders.


Jason keeps his finger on the pulse of current events and public policy of significance in California, and specifically in the Los Angeles region. His ties to Los Angeles run deep. He is an entrepreneur and networking guru, supporting a variety of charitable groups and representing Rodriguez Strategies at business meetings and events. 

A pioneer in the technology space, Jason is the Co-Founder at Playbook Five. He started his career as a Business Development Consultant at Krossover Intelligence, before moving on to Playbook Five. Driven by a mission to lead and motivate, Jason is best known for creatively thinking of solutions to problems not easily identified by the naked eye.  

Jason was born and raised in L.A, and as the son of two LAUSD teachers developed a passion for helping the community and mentoring youth. He volunteers for 100 Black Men LA and Vista Del Mar – Child Care and Family Services. For leisure, Jason enjoys reading and taking up any opportunity to scratch his itch for activity and sports.   

Jason attended Boise State University on a full athletic scholarship. He received his B.A. in Communications while contributing to one of the College Football’s top programs as a 4x letterman and team captain.
